What a Garage Cleanout Includes

We show up with a crew and a truck, and we don’t leave until the garage is empty and swept.

The Sort

Even in a full cleanout, we sort. Nothing goes straight to the landfill if it doesn’t have to. Every item lands in one of four categories:

• Keep — you point, we set aside
• Donate — lower-value usable items, bundled and delivered to local KC charities
• Recycle — metal, electronics, cardboard taken to proper facilities
• Discard — genuine waste, disposed of legally

The Haul

We load everything. You don’t lift anything, you don’t rent a truck, and you don’t spend a Saturday driving to the transfer station. Standard cleanouts include up to one full truck load.

The Sweep

Empty isn’t finished. Every cleanout ends with a floor sweep, corner cobweb removal, and a final look together so you can see the finished space.

What We Can and Can’t Take

We take: furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, mattresses, lumber, scrap metal, electronics, tires (small fee), yard waste, boxes, and general household junk.

We can’t take: paint, motor oil, gasoline, pesticides, propane tanks, asbestos, or medical waste. These require specialized disposal. We’ll identify them as we sort and tell you exactly where to take them — usually the Kansas City household hazardous waste facility, which is free for area residents.

Common Cleanout Situations

Estate clearing. We understand these are hard days. Our crews work respectfully and at whatever pace you need. We can also set aside anything you want to review before it leaves.

Move-out or move-in. Sellers need the garage empty for showings. Buyers inherit whatever the last owner abandoned. Either way, we move fast — though “fast” still depends on what’s actually behind the door, and we’ll tell you which once we’ve seen your photos, not after we’re already behind schedule.

“I just can’t face it.” The most common reason people call. There’s no judgment here — we’ve seen every level of accumulation and we’re not shocked by yours.

After the Cleanout

An empty garage is a blank slate. The Clear-Out is the right starting point when removal is the main goal; The Rescue adds complete organization after the haul. Many customers pair a cleanout with garage organization so they don’t refill it the same way.
